『GAZO』は、「存在しない展覧会のカタログ」というフィクションから生まれた、 スペキュラティヴ・デザイン（思索の試作）です。実在しない展示を想像しながら、同時代を生きる作家たちの現在進行形のイメージ（知覚）を紙面に集めてきました。
第3号から今日までのあいだに、私たちは「作品をどうやって後世に残すのか」という根源的な問いをゆっくり考えるようになり、その延長線上で、今回のタイトル〈Grave of Pictures〉にたどり着きました。 「今」を閉じ込めつつ、作品が別の場所＝別の時間でもひらかれるための場。それが〈 Grave of Pictures〉です。
GAZO is a work of speculative design— a prototype for thought—conceived as the catalogue for an exhibition that does not exist. By imagining this unreal exhibition,we have gathered onto the printed page the images—ongoing perceptions—of artists living in our own time.From issue 3 through to the present, we have slowly come to dwell on a fundamental question:how can works be carried forward into the future?
It is along this line of thought that we arrived at the title Grave of Pictures for this issue.
A place that seals in the “now” while allowing works to be opened up again in other places—at other times.
That is what we call Grave of Pictures.
